Kumho's
KH11 beats rivals again
|
 |
Once again, Kumho’s ECSTA KH11 has beaten many of its top-brand
rivals in a recent major UK tyre test.
Over the summer, respected motoring journal, Auto Express held what
it described as 'the most comprehensive tyre test ever conducted by
a magazine'. No fewer than 16 brands were put through their paces
in the popular size 195/65R15 in a series of 10 tough tests at Uvalde
in Texas.
The asymmetrically treaded KH11 finished in the top six brands overall,
underlining its remarkable consistency of performance in magazine
tests over the past two years. As on previous occasions its strongest
performance was in the wet disciplines which Auto Express itself regards
as '... when rubber faces its toughest test – a tyre could make the
difference between avoiding a crash or becoming a statistic.'
After
a series of strong performances, particularly in the areas of wet
braking, handling and cornering, the KH11 finished with an overall
percentage of 98.04 per cent. In their summary, the testers commented
that the Kumho 'represented superb value, outperforming many more
expensive rivals'.
Kumho's executive director Steve Tidmarsh commented: "We are
delighted that the KH11 has performed so well again and it bears testimony
to the significant investment that KUMHO has made in developing products
of the highest quality." |
