wins Masters on KUMHO

Prémat snatched victory from team-mate Eric Salignon four laps
from the end of this year's Marlboro Masters race to give KUMHO its
third champion as Official Tyre Supplier to Europe's top Formula 3
event. The two French aces both drive for the ultra-successful F3
Euroseries team, ASM Formule 3.
Polesitter Prémat benefited from a spin by Salignon, having trailed him in second place for 21 laps. There was consolation for Salignon, though, in winning the KUMHO Fastest Lap award in addition to his second place on the podium. The final slot went to talented British driver, Adam Carroll.
Thirty seven drivers from no less than 17 countries contested the 14th Marlboro Masters of F3 race which was watched by an estimated 50,000 spectators. Live TV coverage was broadcast to some five million Dutch homes.
KUMHO's president, Dr S C Oh, presented the Fastest Lap award while
the podium finishers received their trophies from Dutch premier Jan-Peter
Balkenende.
