Eugene Donnelly and co-driver Paul Kiely have won the Shell Donegal International Rally for the second year in succession.
Their KUMHO Tyres backed Toyota Corolla WRC finished 41.8 seconds ahead of the Subaru of Tim McNulty and Eugene O'Donnell with the Ford Focus of Austin MacHale and Brian Murphy a further one minute 48.9 seconds behind in third.
After four rounds of the Pirelli Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, Donnelly is now just one point behind Derek McGarrity who was fourth in Donegal.
Garry Jennings and Rory Kennedy won the Group N category in their KUMHO shod Mitsubishi Evo 6 – making it a clean sweep of the top honours for KUMHO.
KUMHO Motorsport manager Steve Thompson said: "This is a fantastic result for KUMHO achieved in the face of some of the toughest opposition to be found in tarmac rallying anywhere in the world. My congratulations to Eugene and Garry on their superb drives." |
